Audi A6 2.7 diesel.....

or Volvo V70 2.4 diesel estate....

can anyone give me any info on  either of these cars

which would make the better tow car for our van, anything i should be looking out for when i test drive them tomorrow.

any info goo or bad would be much appreciated

Have yet to enounter a 'bad' tow car; only tow cars with differing specified capabilities.

At your test drive check specified max towing weight (this is obviouly the max weight that can be towed) and 'max draw bar loading'. (this is the max down force allowed on the tow bar, commonly called 'nosewight'. This should be between 4% and 7% of the weight of your van.)

If you can service it yourself spares are much cheaper than most others.

If you find a good one it will tow your house down.
