You won't have any problems, I tow a van that's right on the max towing weight for my Focus 1.6TDCi and it's fine. The only thing to be wary of is hill starts, I'm not sure the clutch would take too many starts on steep hill, but it's fine if you're careful with it. Even at that weight it returns around 36mpg.
Regards,
Pete.

I am struggling to find a 4 berth caravan around the 5/6year old mark that is light enough for my 1.8 tdci zetec 56 plate focus estate. Plenty of much older vans but we really fancy one with the more modern spec.
Any ideas?

I have 90hp 1.8 tddi and tow a 470 challenger with no problem.

Even been to south of france over the route Napolean with ease.

Weight is at its limit so you just have to be careful of loading the van.
