Private warranties dont cover "known manufacturing defects" which gives the insurance scroats loads of ways out of paying. Freelander head gasket = nopay, Discovery cracked cyl.heads = nopay. Sorento gearboxes = nopay.

The list is endless

warranty wise did not pay out for a manufacturers defect on my Sorento gearbox and after involving a lawyer, Kia paid up I'm glad to say!
