Hello all,

Has anyone any experience of these protector covers for caravans that you attach prior to towing?  Our dealer has these on display and was giving it the big sell, obviously, but I am a bit dubious.  Am I missing something?

Regards

Simon

Ive been looking at them myself. They seem like quite a good idea to give some protection to the front of the van when on the road. I'd be more inclined to go for one if they went a bit higher up the roof. I've just had a new roof skin on mine and would like to protect it from the couple of tiny dents that the old one picked up at the front from stones or whatever. Not the reason the roof was replaced I might add.

We got a front cover for towing

Oh is disabled, so it takes us about 15 minutes to put on and tweak into place.

There was a thread about these a few weeks back and although I haven't got one myself others had different views on them both good and bad. One that opposed them said that he bought one not thinking that he needed to enter his front locker on a journey stop to turn on the gas for a cuppa. He said although it did the job and kept the front of the caravan clean it was sometimes a bit of a pain on longer journeys.

It takes less that 1 minute to get into our front locker. Unclick the 2 lower bottom buckles, the rest of the cover stops in place. Hasnt caused us any problems.

I think they were using a low half front cover ( if that makes sense )

Thank you for the replies.  I think I will wait and see if I can find someone with one as I bimble around a campsite and see what they think before I part with any money.

See you out there.
