Hi,
I posted in Life in General about a shunt I had on the M4 last week.
The car took a good knock and pushed the swan neck forward a little, but no other obvious damage. The car is booked in on Monday and obviously I would not think of towing until I got the all clear. I had a look underneath today and found that the towbar is buckled and a bolt had sheared off.

Even if you don't think there is any damage I would strongly advise that you get it checked out, I did not think mine was as bad as this.
