Whilst towing our caravan our Terrano sprung a diesel leak. This resulted in the under neath of Terrano and all running gear and front of caravan being soaked in the stuff. The tow ball area of the caravan now has a very loud creeking noise on any slight turn. Is it possible to clean the discs or will the stabilizer discs need to be replaced.
Loads of users have had success cleaning the friction pads (myself included) and as Rushallmanor has suggested, try some brake cleaning fluid. Also give the ball a thorough clean too, plus a wipe with some emery cloth too.
Once thoroughly clean, you should find the creeks and groans will suppress.
