Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I've just bought a pair of ROCK SOLID towing mirrors and 1 is flat glass and 1 is convex. Pardon my ignorance as this is our first caravan but why are they not both flat glass? Is there a specific reason??
I do know the convex lenses give you a wider angle view, but why they are different I couldn't say.
maybe you use the convex one on the side that has the biggest blind spot. (but I'm only guessing)
I have flat mirrors both sides, but my standard car mirrors are pretty big anyway so they only serve to remind me I'm towing!!
Many thanks, that makes sense! To be honest I've never liked convex or concave mirrors as they don't give a true view of whats going on imho. At least I now know which one goes on which side!!
