Thank you Jeff, interesting read. The Merc engine was selling point for my husband, while myself a non driver was looking for a good towing vehicle for our caravan.

It very luxurious compared to what we had (an LDV 1.9, 6 seater Postman Pat Crew Bus),with its leather seats & A/C & has been kept immaculately with full service history & even has original purchase receipt & car manual.

Although have yet to see another one on the road.

I had the Musso 2.9d 1996 , great car , had to do quite a few repairs, but mine had had a hard life . It did 36mpg on motorway , 28 round town and between 24 to 26 towing 1450kg caravan . The turbo is the better model , mine was gutless .
The 4 wheel drive is very good , but only use it on loose surfaces other wise you'll get axle wind up .
I have loads of Musso related web links if you want them send me a email ( email link below ) .

Wizard

Ps i've got about 700meg of info for the Musso manuals etc , if you want i can post it to you .
