Stop worrying and just go out and enjoy yourself the combination is fine. Take care when you load the van and get the noseweight as close as you can to the cars limit ( 75kg), keep your speed down ( mid 50's is comfortable and safe ), drive as if you were carrying a crate of egss, give corners a slightly wider berth.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

we tow an Abi Transtar with our 1.8 diesel which is 1300kg when loaded and we have had no problems, very stable tow. Enjoy your caravan
