I would like to have a hobby caravan on my seasonal pitch. However the A frame faces the back of the pitch and as my site is a small family business I think that they would have difficulty turning the caravan round to tow off the pitch in winter or if there was an emergency, as Hobbys are so heavy. Its not an option to leave the van on site as I don't think their licence allows it. Has anyone got a solution.

If it is a single axle, it will not be that difficult to turn round. You just need a few strong people.

It will not be any more difficult to turn than another van of the same weight.

I have been to sites where they have turned people away because the pitch payout prevented the caravan being parked tow hitch outwards.

Health & safety reasons, If there was a fire they could pull your van away quickly.

Sometimes only a problem if you have an awning.

yesthis is my worry and the hobbys are heavy I would have difficulty moving my lighter caravan with two people on certain ground. They only have two workers on the farm. Will have to look at british caravans I think with A frame right way around.

Seasonal pitch, Not going to be towed or used on a road?

I'd be tempted to unbolt the van from the chassis and turn it around.


But i do have some mad idea's.
