I don't do diesel but I do Volvo! My V70 2.4 does 34 mpg average solo, and 30 towing a van.

Well, I've now had the V70 for a couple of weeks. With our caravan on the back we averaged 30mpg travelling between Kirkham and Kendal last weekend.

Without the caravan, I've been getting in excess of 45 mpg getting to work and back. Suffice to say, I'm rather happy with my new motor. :-)
