Can't offer you any help on the car front, I am afraid!  My vote is trike & trailer tent or trike & tent in trailer like this!!

Obviously this is only a two-seater, so not much use to you, but you could easily get one to fit all the family on and SO much more fun than a car

ps we have a caravan as well but prefer to travel like this when we can!

unfortunately my computer skills dont let me scan and put up pics . somewhere on here there is pics of the teardrop behind my bongo. might even be some pics of the truck .but i changed computers earlier this year and cant even put the pics i have on the desk top on anymore. waiting for a passing friend to give me tuition. ha ha .

i used to be county rep for the NABD back in the mid 90,s .the trike was white with red seats no roof looked like a cabriolet cut up. .been in back street heroes etc. we used to build under the name of  kernow trikes .
