hello anyone out there who tow with a hyundai tucson. all reviews would be appreciated i want to know how i can get a couple of inches higher. Iv been looking through towsure book at couplings etc and kit upgrades also nose weights are fine.
------------- backyardigan. fresh air costs nowt so love it.
Although I don’t have a Tuscon, I do have a Hyundai Santa Fe with a similar problem – tow ball too low when laden.Altering tow type approved towbars is a no-no and therefore you have to look at other means of solving problem.
I have recently fitted mad suspension spring assisters - these are steel coil spring assisters and are designed to reduce deflection of suspension when car is loaded.Although I haven’t towed with the car since fitting, it has raised the towball height by about 35mm with car unladen.Judging by standing on towball, suspension deflection is less than previously, so I’m confident that it will be a big improvement.Fitting the springs was easy. You may wish to look at this website – they do list springs for a Tuscon. www.mad-suspension.co.uk

I had roughly the same result after fitting mad suspension to my Kia magentis, like you have not towed since fitting, was going away this weekend but because of the snow chickened out,but I am confident they will really improve things
