Just read an article regarding Sorento clutch ,i.e that they are prone to failure around 80,000 miles.The point being i've got 77'000 on clock and will be touring Spain shortly,anybody out there had problems?

Depends on how its been treated. If its been abused then it could be on its 2nd or 3rd clutch by now.

Driven properly then it may not even be half worn. Years left in it.

When i bought my last mondeo the clutch pedal was rather high. When i sold it nearly 5 years later it was still rather high.

Motor movers on the caravan helped a lot. Not having to manouvre it saved me having to replace the clutch.

I had to have one changed around 70+k miles. I could not get any gears at all.

Ours was getting less posiive on gearchange but the dealers have adjusted the clutch-fine now.
