HI I HAVE A PEUGEOT 307 90BHP HDI PULLING A VAN ROYCE 450EK CAN PULLS VAN LOVELY THE TROUBLE THAT I AM HAVING IS WHEN I SLOW DOWN THEN BEGIN TO PICK UP SPEED I GET A HARD THUMP FROM VAN!! I HAVE CHANGED OVER RUN DAMPER BUT TO NO EFFECT CAN ANYBODY PLEASE OFER ANY ADVICE

Is the damper engaged properly? Can you push and pull it by hand?

Are the brakes sticking on? I had a similar issue on an old caravan the brakes return springs had broken so did not release properly.

It sounds like your brakes need adjusting or replacing, as there is too much travel in the over-run assembly before they are being applied
