saab 93 2.2td 2002 front wheel drive

tow a hobby 540 easy delux 2003 says on metal plate below door 1500kg

need to know asap due to about to buy asap

can't fathom out the sites that get you to work out ratios and can't find in my manual

all to technical but i can rely on your advice

This site would suggest not as the caravan would be above the cars kerbweight

it suggests that the   kerbweight of your car is between 1325kg and 1410kg and towing a 1500kg caravan with such a car is not to be recommended. Without information from the cars V5 document about the Mass in running order, and from the cars vin plate giving the max groos weight of the car together with its max train weight it is impossible to say whether it would be legal or not.
