Had the same problem with our Passat, fitted MAD spring helpers, car tows nice and level now.

I agree with nelmo. If you already have spring assistors fitted then a too heavy noseweight is more likely to be the offending problem.

As well as the noseweight, How much do you put in the boot?
There is a max load for the rear axle and you maybe pushing it over the limit with the combined mass.

Our old mondeo used to rub on the arches now and then when loaded up with kit & trailer, but it was lowered 30mm, large alloys and LPG fitted in boot! Was always fun coming across speed bumps! Was a lot better once spring assistors were fitted though.
