I have just checked on www.towcar.info for compatibility , towing our Freedom Microlite with a new Focus 1.0 Ecoboost (125ps). The report is excellent with good weight balance and very good forecast performance. Should not be too surprised , as the new Focus engine actually produces more power AND Torque than our current Mk7 1.6tdci Fiesta. Is this the future for tight wad, small caravan freaks like us? Are you the first to try one as a towcar?????????

I don't know about the Ecoboost, but small, powerful engines tend to have a very narrow power band, so you'd be forever changing gear whilst towing, especially uphill.
Just downsized van from Senator to a baby Adria Action 2 berth, still towing with a 4x4, overkill really, but can't afford to change car as well now, maybe next year. Will certainly be looking for something a little smaller, rather fancy a Skoda Yeti........Mick
I've been towing a caraven and a trailer with my Yeti for 2 years now Mick. It behaves perfectly, I don't think you would be disapointed if you went for one.
