Hi all new to caravaning purchased an 89 avondale perle custom orion 4 birth which has no weight plate.I also have a 2004 astra 1.7cdti sport and wondered if it would tow this caravan ok or would i need something bigger.past my drivers test after 1997.any help on either the weight on caravan or the car would be a great help thanks.

What tow car website only gives details for new caravans so pretty useless when it comes to a 1989 model of any caravan manufacturer. If you know the caravan details you can actually alter the boxes accordingly to achieve a more accurate calculation but not having these specific details is impossible to get any confirmed results. I have even looked on the caravan data in the link below but the Avondale Perle isn't listed.

Try looking on the near side of the A frame for the weight plate as this is where they use to position them prior to positioning below the caravan door.
