Hi,
We have just purchased a 2008 Avondale Passione and need to fit a tow bar to our 2004 reg Honda CR-V. Does anyone have any companies that can be recommended. We live in norfolk, but have family in Herts and Leicester so a few options!
Also what sort of price should we be looking at for one to be fitted as we are going in blind with the quotes.
Thanks in advance
Sean

Towequipe in Hinckly?
Price will depend what towbar you want, A fixed flange or a detachable one.
Dedicated electrics which cost more to buy but less to fit.
Towbar from £100, So guessing £160 upwards to in excess of £350.

I had mine fitted in Atherstone by a company called 'Tow-Trust' which is basically on the Warwickshire / Leicestershire border. Have a look at their website below under 'Towbar List' as it gives you details regarding fixed flange towbars, detachable towbars and what the vehicle's recommended towball and towing weights are. I found them to be quite competitive on price in comparison to other towbar fitters in the area.

I've booked in with Towequipe. Competitive price and very helpful on the phone. Tried all the companies recommended on here and all seemed great - just came down to price (not a huge difference, but enough...!)
Thanks for all your help! Once the Towbar is fitted next comes learning how to tow a caravan!

Easier on new cars, The holes are already there.
Buy a dedicated loom also and its like plugging your kettle in.

Afraid I'm not technical enough to do that, but I've plenty of time to learn...
Thanks again to everyone for their help with this, much appreciated.

Food for thought
On 02-06 CR-V towball should be detachable otherwise it obscures number plate.
Some tow bars will only take 60kg nose weight and some will take 100kg?
Hope they do the electrics correctly. Some horror stories on web where so called towbar suppliers/installers do not do it correctly when installing on vehicle with CAN-bus.
What brand of towbar are you getting fitted
