hiya, we have a abi jubilee supreme emperor, unladen weight =832kgs mtplm=1045kgs, we are thinking of having a xsara picasso max towing weight = 1300 , min kerb weight is =1300....would this be ok..?

Engine / Year / Spec of the picasso?

Some cannot tow that weight.   900kg max for some.

Or check the logbook V5C before you buy and see what that says.

In heavens name, surely in the 21st century any 1300kg + / 1600cc+ car will tow 1000kg!

I would say a 1.6 petrol engine would struggle uphill,better off with a diesel turbo,around 1.8-2.0ltr

I had the xsara picasso 2.0 ltr diesel and towed a pennine pathfinder weight 1000 kg and it struggled a bit some times up hills
