You fit the one that suits your needs.
As i have several things that attach to the towbar braket i have fixed flange towbars.
You may want a fixed one but want something less obtrusive, So go for a swan neck towbar.
If you want to remove it when not towing then a detachable bracket.
Your requirements and budget are what counts.
There is no better one.

What brand is the Honda one though? It will be a towbar from one the big manufacturers.
Westfalia, Witter, Brink etc...

Is that a 2002 - 2007 or a 2007 onwards?
Fixed Flange.. With Wiring
£135 for 2002 - 2007
£140 for 2007 onwards.
Bosal Swan neck with wiring.
£130 - £140
Bosal Detachable with wiring.
£190 - £220.
So £500 sounds very very expensive to me.
Had a read of the instructions and it doesnt seem to be a difficult one.

Bosal Detachable with wiring. £190 - £220. So £500 sounds very very expensive to me. Had a read of the instructions and it doesnt seem to be a difficult one.
The prices I quoted are fitted not DIY and include the bypass relay to deactivate the reversing sensors when caravan is attached, this costs in the region of £130 to £199 and is Honda specific. Labour time is 4 hours as specified by Honda as it involves running a circuit from the battery to the rear of the car for charging and fridge. This necessitates the removal of several trim panels. Labour time of 4 hours was also quoted by our local experienced tow bar and trailer centre. The labour will thus be anything between £200 and £300

Dedicated wiring £93 to £130 + the power kit?
Yes the prices i quoted are for just the parts but 4 hours to fit it sounds excessive.
Westfalia website says 90 minutes to fit it.
Price on the powerkit seems elusive though.

Westfalia website says 90 minutes to fit it.
maybe thats just for the towbar itself and does not include all the wiring from the battery etc
