Hello all
ive managed to get a very cheap a second hand alko 1300 hitch it arrived today and both the hitch and friction pads seem to be in very good condition
However all i got was the hitch and was wondering if there should be any other parts that should be with it as i notice on ebay that there are 2 curved plates in the pictures along with the hitch (if that makes any sense)
hope someone out there can understand what im trying to say
Think you will see all that should be there on here page 160-161 double click and it will enlarge.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
The curved plates are actually spacers or shells as they are sometimes called for different size draw bars. On older caravans the draw bar shaft diameter was only 47mm. then it was increased to 48mm. on later caravans (up to 1999) and then finally 50mm. so the thickest shell fits inside the stabiliser with the 47mm. diameter draw bar and the thinnest for fitting of the 50m. diameter. When you fit the stabiliser you will need the appropriate size dowel which I think is 10mm. diameter and this is to restrain the draw bar shaft whilst the stabiliser is being fitted.
