Make sure you get one with coil springs. Leaf springs can invalidate your caravan warranty.
For sure, that applies to my Coachman, but I understand other manufacturers also stipulate no leaf springs.

I think you will find most are fitted with leaf springs, however there is a damper that can be fitted on the hitch so I am told by a caravan dealer friend who uses a Toyota Hi-lux..
GCMS...cant comment on the spring isuue...I use a Ford ranger doublecab for my tent camping and have never had any trouble with access to sites...the only concern they have regards sign-writing....frowned upon I think!

Hi, because some manufacturers exclude towing by a commercial vehicle if a warranty issue arises. To do with excessive flexing at a guess? Check with your manufacturer.
Dixon bate do a shock absorber coupling, sit down when you see the price though.
is it really as simple as leaf/not leaf?? coil springs can be/are just as hard on a commercial vehicle, its the weight load they are designed to carry, not the type of spring that makes it hard.
