Hi all

On our first trip to France last month I noticed quite a few Dutch caravans with an extended A-frame with a cycle carrier mounted to it.

This mean't they could tow a van with the bikes in between the car and van, the towbars were removable as far as I could see.

Is it possible to have an extension fitted to a Sprite 1994?

Hope someone can help.

No you can't extend the A frame. European built caravans just tend to be designed with longer A frames so they have enough room for A frame bike carriers. I've seen plenty in France being towed by cars that only have around 70kg noseweight limit so how they can keep noseweight down to that with 2 bikes on the front I do not know, I guess they don't because the car usually has the rear suspension right down so not realy safe.
