Hi all..well this is my first journey back here for many yrs..after hubbys illness..but he is still here and fancies trying a bit of caravanning again..trouble is we had to change our car and now only have KIA VENGA 1400 cdi     not sure if we can even tow anything with this! any help would be appreciated..it is a 2012.. I have forgotton all about kerb weights etc...thanks again..

85% about 1150kg with a 1300kg max tow.

Although with 89bhp it may need some stirring of the gears on the hills.

But it is fairly low geared, Top speed 104mph. So maybe fine in 5th gear when towing but 6th may struggle.

Hi Havevanwilltravel. The max kerb weight of the kia venga 1.4 diesel is 1445 kg so working on the 85% rule you can tow a van with a max weight of 1228 kg.
Kia spec states max tow weight of 1300kg.
These figures I have given are straight from the Kia venga spec sheet. Hope this is of some use.

Oh thanks very much all...it's a bit like going back to school lol hubby is itching to have another go and with hindsight.we wish we had kept our little 2 birth Luna, many thanks for the info. :) oh yes passed my car test 1976.
