My sis has offered us her caravan, it is a Abi Ace Viceroy, not entirely sure on the weight because the plate had nothing on it. There is another plate by the hitch, I am assuming the numbers on it are the weights two numbers one about 800 the other 1000. Possible model number 340759a. Galvanised chassis.
If the weight is 1000 max there is a lot more caravan for the weight then some of the modern ones we have seen.
It is a fairly old van, a dining area/come bed at one end and the seating area/come bed at the other.
Oven, grill and two ring gas hob, fridge, shower room with portable loo.
Has got some leakage in one small part of the roof, couldn't see up top to see the problem, not sure if cooker works, has fire and heating but brother in law wanting to use the heating system in his other caravan. So we would need to find our own heating system.
Hot water does not work as the owner before them damaged the pipework underneath, so he just had it so he couldn't use it.
Plenty of space but wondering whether our car would be ok for it.
We have a Seat Cordoba se tdi saloon, 1.9 diesel 2003.
Mass in service 1357 (is this to do with tow weight)
I'm looking at my log book and there are no tow weights printed either braked or unbraked. Thought I had read somewhere before it is 1200 max but cannot be sure.
Would our car tow it, not sure if he said van was 19ft?
The unladen weight is 800 and the max is 1000, it is an old caravan. A bit scary with it being so long, we haven't had a caravan before, just our dandy. I am pretty sure the tow weight of the car is 1200.
All depends on if we can find somewhere dirt cheap to store it, otherwise they might as well sell it off.
Hi we used to tow a 2008 Bailey Discovery Mercury Series 5
Unladed Weight 910KG
Maximum Weight 1130KG
My Car a Seat Altea XL SE TDI DSG (7 speed Auto) And this can Towed 1500kg and we had no trouble at all with our caravan and sometimes i wonder was it still on the back .
So i think you should be fine just take it steady until you are use to it . lol
It's that late and so very, very poor you should'nt have bothered
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
