my brother-in-law has just brought a rover 75 1.8 petrol. does anyone what they are like for towing his van is a sterling europa 500 classic 1994.

i towed that van with a mondeo 1.8td with all the luggage and bikes and two kids for a fortnights holiday and it struggled what do you think ?

we have exactly the same van , same year etc , it has a max towing weight of 1150 kg , the previous owner towed with a 1.8 Laguna petrol & it struggled big time on hills

Wouldnt like to attempt it myself as i like to have a bit of performance in reserve when needed.
