Im guessing the Rover is a fair bit cheaper?

The Shogun sport is a tarted up Pickup truck dating back a few years.

Engines have fairly low power outputs considering the vehicle size. 114bhp for something that weighs close to 2 tons with a couple of passengers.

Oddly lacking in torque also. A 2.5 diesel with 4WD should have bucket fulls yet its got less than my 2L Mondeo diesel. Not great around town and not a good ride.

High tax group also.

Depends if you want a 4x4 or a comfy estate car?

Kia Sorento!  Well not going to say Skoda!

The Shogun Sports are not brilliant Rover has a good BMW engine but I don't know what the spares situation for the Rover is like now!

I see you already have a rover 75, I'm assuming it has been a good car otherwise you wouldn't be considering buying another one,

Is the towing weights ok with the rover as the shogun will be awfull on fuel compared also the tax will be higher, obliviously if you only do low millage that's not really an issue, There's lots to think about as they are two completely different cars,

I have just bought a new car and was trying to decide between a vectra or mondeo and a freelander, did some looking into running costs and dismissed the freelander due to running costs, costs of tyres etc, looked for a mondeo or vectra and bought a volvo.
