I have just purchased a more suitable tow car for my new caravan adventures this year. It is a 10 year old mondeo estate.
It has a removable tow hitch fitted which is , I think called a swan neck. Is this suitable for my van with an Alko hitch?

Yes it is is. If you mean you have an Al-ko stabiliser hitch, then clean the ball to shiny metal & don't grease.

All swan neck towballs are suitable for an ALKO hitch. Or any hitch for that matter.

Its only the flanged towballs that need to have a larger clearance.
