Hi your car has a really small engine in quite a big car i know its a powerful unit but to throw a caravan on the back aswell would be a really tall order, have you thought of a folding camper ??

Yeah caravan storage also store campers. I have thought about one several times. But its the packing it away wet thats the problem.
If its in storage a few miles away how will you dry it out?

We had a Pennine Pathfinder before we got the caravan, it was 1000kgs but I think there are lighter versions (ours had a loo) .
Clever piece of design, slept 6 and we could tow it with our old Golf estate.
In the end we tired of folding it away wet and having to dry it out again once home.
I think some of the newer examples will tolerate being packed away damp? Ours was a 2000 model and was canvas.
There is a folding camper section on this forum, loads of advice there too.
A good intro to towing though and may well see you through till your next due to change your car?

The problem i have is restricted access to the rear garden. It would need to fit through a 32" doorway.
I could probably gain 3" if i removed the frame and had bolts holding that on to refit each time.
My storage is a fair distance from the house though.
