They seem like a very good package for the price and are marketed on their towing ability.

Gutsy 2.0 diesel and AWD available.

We have the korando se, purchased new September 2013. Very impressed so far. A really good drive without our caravan hitched up, averaging over 40 mpg about town and 50 mpg on a motorway run.

When hitched to our 1225 mtplm caravan, tows very well averaging just over 30 mpg. As this is our 1st caravan, can't compare it with other vehicles as a "tow car".

The Korando is marketed as being capable of towing 2000kg, possibly in my opinion not realistic as the cars weight is just over 1600kg.

Overall a lot of car for the money, and the Korando is much more pleasing to the eye than earlier ssangyong offerings.

Hopefully if we can get a good 5 years from our Korando, it will be money well spent.

Best regards

We purchased a korando LE in November 2013 brand new and so far no issues, it has taken us from the midlands to west Brittany and back fully loaded without dropping a beat.

The clock was telling me i was getting 31mpg for over 2000 miles towing.as we also brought a heavier caravan too from 1200kg to 1450kg

I got 5 years free servicing, free towbar and a 5 year warrenty and free upgraded stereo and a set of mats too

Hope i dont have any issues going forward

Owned our ELX4 since March this year and we love it!.We tow an Elddis Supreme 624 twin axle with ease, the power delivery from the 2.0 litre diesel is spot on and returning an amazing 38 mpg towing. (mid 40s round town and a brilliant 58mpg on motorway cruise control). Deal at the time was towbar package + metallic paint and their standard 5 year warranty. Great driving position and quite exclusive as we have only seen three other Korando in 8000 miles! Engine manufactured by TATA allegedly very reliable. 2000kg tow limit, kerb weight 1747kg, towbar max weight little low at 80kg. Fully comprehensive insurance with Hastings just over £200.
