I had for some reason assumed that the crv had roof bars/rails but nope. With it being a 1997 model and the changes made from model to model originals are like rocking horse poop. Without the rails I think I need to fit some gutter type roof bars. But they seem to be few and far between. I typed in universal roof bars and it still seems you need a fitting kit. Anyone fitted a universal roof rack to a 4x4? I don't want the inflateable because they won't hold a couple of bikes! john

The bars are univeral but you buy the footpack to match the model of car that you have.

Plenty on ebay £60 - £70.

I may have some feet and bars we had for a 99 CRV at home somewhere as not sure we got rid of them ever.

They weren't original but bought from roofbox.co.uk years ago.

Give me a couple of days to have a search around at home

i have a set of thule 754 feet (with locks) and aero bars that i am gonna stick on ebay when i get a minute.... all you would need is the correct fitting kit for your car to go with these.

I have a 95 cry and went to Halfords and they helped me find the right fixing kit and roof rails and I bought a roof box as well.
