hi, does anyone use 1 of these vehicles to tow a caravan, had a demo towing my adria and found it very unstable,

What year, Engine etc did you try?

Weight match? What does the caravan weigh?

Sometimes you do get a outfit that doesnt work too well, Usually its at higher speeds that you notice that though.

Nose weights and tyre pressures can make a big difference to some vehicles.

Was the van loaded to the correct noseweight? Sometimes an empty van can bounce a bit more.

brand new 140 bhp.1800kgs caravan.nose weight correct,tyres correct.caravan sits behind land cruiser in same state no probs,even in high crosswinds

Vans or vans with seats with no load in never feel that good towing due to poor weight distribution. If it has a good evenly distributed load in the back it will feel better but due to high payload allowance in a van its unlikely your normal camping gear will give it enough weight in the back.

A commercial vehicle will always be a compromise due to large difference in kerbweight & fully loaded weight. If you are loading a van, ideally you distribute the weight, but if you take an empty van & hitch a caravan to it then you are putting all the weight on the rear end so it ain't going to handle that well.
