I have had 4 large rugby players and all there luggage in the back of mine when I had one the same age, the engine pulled like a train, and the rear never even went down much, but the ring gears in the gearboxes are prone to splitting, making it hard to engage gears, just wish I had bought the auto version, one here as a taxi on 380K.
So hooking the van on the back of a family car wont make any difference to the rear end, as long as they don't go over the max tow ball weight
