Hi, My old caravan had a Winterhoff hitch head and I had the car fitted with a towbar to accommodate it. I have sold the caravan and the caravan that I am now looking at has an Alko hitch head. Can I tow the new (Alko) hitc head with the towbar that was designed for a winterhoff hitch head or do I need to get the towbar changed. Thanks, Mick

Its the same. Stabiliser hitches need a ball with a slightly bigger space below the ball.

Only the older flanged balls have less space, The ALKO ball and swan neck balls etc all all suitable.

The ALKO ball will be the same for any stabilised hitch and even standard hitches.

The standard ball will only be suitable for standard hitches.
