hi we have recently brought a new car which is a ford mondeo tdci 2005 we have not had the log book back yet, was wondering if it is a suitable towing car for a bailey ranger 500/5 2002.any help woud be very grateful thanks zoe
I towed a 1450kg hymer with my 55 plate 2.0. 115 bhp tdci and it did the job superbly. It was economical and extremely stable. I do not know the weights of your Ranger but up to the 1450kg that I towed you will have no trouble at legal speeds.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
