What the hell's going on with it!!??

Used it last year for going to Buxton, no problems...

This year, it's sending us every which way BUT the way went last year, one of their routes includes a big looping detour around Stockport!??

Another route, it want's us to chew through the centre of Sheffield and Rotherham....

Where's the straight forward A1, M1 to Chesterfield junction and then on from there just like last year!!!????

If you know a better route than Google maps provide then use your better route. Google maps is just a guide not a bible.

Wasn't really looking for exact directions, more like 'refreshing' ourselves on which junction off the motorways it was.

And also looking at the 'live traffic' situations....

But the routes it was giving us was just a 'you taking the pi$$' response....

Are you sure you are not looking at the rail route as the options are sometimes put on the same map as the roads.

I had the same thing the other day. I was driving a route I'd not been down for a while so just needed something as a double check. It was trying to take me all over the place in the most odd directions!

I use waze (if using my mobile phone) for directions.
Lets you know where the traffic is and even when there are broken down cars on hard shoulders etc.
It`s free and easy to use.
Another addition is that you can track a friend or relative that is heading to the same destination as you.
