No I did not , I said it's better to keep the van down south, as it saves around 100 in fuel rather than tow it up and down from Scotland,
BTW how do you know your Mondeo is heavy enough for your weight Bessie, it could be much lighter,
BTW2,finally found out that the figures quoted are for the lightest version of the superb, with the 1.4 petrol engine, not the ones with the diesel that are much heavier, the brochures do not reflect this, and only give the kerb weight for the base petrol model

1) you know I have weighed my car on a weigh bridge so know its true weight and that's 1705 kgs
2) the brochure weight for the new superb it s 1430 you know that and I phoned Skoda on your advice and they confirmed at the 2 ltr diesel is 1430not the petrol one .
3) you don't tow a caravan its been down south for a long time now,

Check out what you wrote its on the Skoda superb post,

Bessie

Bessie, when we go down to the van we don't stay on site except for 1 nights rest, we then tow all over Devon Cornwall and further east, sometimes up to Yorkshire, Norfolk
Once the new superb comes onto the secondhand market we will get one, prices should be more reasonable by then.
our first van was a great big Deenline crown, towed with a 1.6 cavalier,up and down to Wales, absolutely no problems
