When dealing the noseweight,you need to check:
-the car handbook to see what the car manufacturers limit is
-the tow bracket installation instructions to see what maximum weight the bar is rated to
-The hitch Alko,Winterhoff instructions,to see what the hitch is rated to (this is not universal, hitch capacity varies according to the van its fitted to)
Always select the lowest value, then you will be safe for all.
Whether you use a stick and bathroom scales or a commercial device, the van and hitch should be level.
