I have seen the Westfailia BC 60 at a local dealer, superb piece of kit, that can take upto 3 bikes.
We got the Thule EuroClassic 902 Pro back in 2004, the Westfailia is an improved version of the Thule, although our Thule is still doing the business, also a great piece of kit.
If you want a bike carrier that fits on towball then I suggest you get a bike carrier that holds bike by wheels & has own lights & numberplate. Anything from £100 up to £300 for top of range. The more you pay the easier it is to get bikes on & off & the more firmly the bikes are held.
The cheap ones are just hangers. Bikes hang on by crossbars & require a lightboard & numberplate tied on once bikes are lashed on.

Can attest to this thinking. Had a Thule 9503 that relied on me tightening the unit with a spanner, and even then there was a little lateral movement. Bikes were secure, but there was still a little movement. Upgraded to an Atera one which is operated by one handle, and fits perfectly every time. Bikes also rock solid.

After much research and convincing ourselves to spend a substantial sum of money, we recently invested in this type of Buzz bike carrier from the Roof Box Co. Have just returned from our first trip abroad with it (including driving down to Portsmouth from Cumbria on the Sunday of storm Katie) and the bikes were rock steady on the carrier, the carrier was rock steady on the back of the car, the carrier drops down (with the bikes on it) so you can open the boot door and it just drops onto the towball and tightens, straightforward to set up and use, especially after the first few times. The wheel racks also fold in for storage so it will fit in the back of the car if necessary when not in use, and it has integrated number plate and lights which simply plug in like the caravan electrics. The one slight downside is that it is quite heavy, but this is well worth it for the excellent stability you get.
Decide what you want and then search Gumtree locally for it, save a search and wait. Buy at about 1/3 to 1/2 new price. So its not this years.....next year it wont be this years anyway and your only going to use it occasionally.
I wanted the better bit of kit so got a Thule ball mount that cradles the wheels. Its the older bolt on version but a ratchet with long reach 19mm socket tightens in 5 sec.

Have a look at MaxxRaxx ... they are excellent ... best one we've had (have tried many) ... and you can tow at the same time (assuming nose weight calculations allow you to).
