Hi! Can anyone point us in the right direction. We were thinking of getting a alko stabiliser and it says fits most chassis but how do you know if it'll fit your caravans one?
Hey guys, maybe speak to the caravan breakers on net. I think they're in Wales but they deal in new and used parts and I saw the Akko stabilisers on their website with dimensions for what they fitted. Hope this helps
What is loaded weight of caravan? If under 1300kg go for AKS 1300 stabiliser hitch. That should fit ok provided you have alko chassis with 2 horizontal fixing bolts. It should also fit BPW chassis with vertical rear bolt as hitch usually has vertical hole as well.
Ensure hitch comes with spacer if caravan has 35mm draw tube. There can be a problem fitting the heavier Alko stab hitch to older caravans as handle can hit handbrake lever at full hitch compression. 1300 hitch has side handle so no problem.
