As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We had a the same problem with our 2005 Sorrento and it was down to fuel tank delamination, think you need to check this.
My advice is get rid of it as this is a costly fix, hope this helps?
I experienced no problem until 3/4 - full throttle, then low power and black smoke, also engine cut out twice. Once while overtaking with the van on the back on the Motorway!!
It was diagnosed at Kia franchise as fuel tank and after complaining about it they paid half towards it, obviously it was out of warranty. This was the final straw after along list of problems from a low mileage vehicle (transfer box, turbo and then fuel tank) you will now understand why I got rid of and would never buy another ,this was by far the worst car I brought. I didn't think it drove very well and was under powered.
If finances allow it trade it in against another vehicle and cut your losses.
Good luck

57 ish reg? I think it is....
They won't listen to 'other' opinions, even after me asking on here for them....
They will only listen to what the garage will say, then whinge about how much it's just cost them!
I offered to change the brake pads and discs
ages ago but they said no. It went to garage and cost them an arm.....
I tried again to explain last night, but no....
So I'm letting them get on with it this time (again)......
