A chain is normally for the life of the vehicle, with exception of the tensioner, if you start to hear a rattle the tensioner is on the way out, and should be changed as soon as possible
If your chain is rattling, I'm afraid you'll have to replace it. It's a known problem and Honda should contribute at least 50% towards the replacement cost of £1,500.
If it's not making any noise then you don't need to do anything.
My CRV has well over 100k on it.
There is no specified time/mileage for replacing the chain and should be OK for the life of the car.
Use the correct oil and change at the recommended intervals, it will will last forever!
