Hi apologies if this has been asked before. I have a 1993 caravan no Alko hitch or anything fancy. The noises that I hear are quite worrying at times from the caravan and tow ball. I grease the tow ball prior to connecting, however the groaning still continues. Any advice shall be greatly appreciated.

Are you useing a blade type stabliser if you are it is possibly that mine sounds just like that most of the time also worth checking bolts that hold the towbar and ball.

Yes, agreed. Just the pads at the base of the blade doing their job.
Mine creaked and groaned when I used it. Now got Alco hitch.

No but it makes them smell nice and in truth for some folk it does work and makes them less creaky.
