A46 south to Leicester.
Join the M1 south to junction 21 (M69).
Continue M69 then pick up the A46 again to the M40 at junction 15.
M40 south to junction 9 (A34).
Continue A34 south to the M3 then continue to junction 13 (M27).
Continue M27 which is a continuation onto A31.
At the roundabout leave the A31 and follow signs for Corfe Mullen which takes you to the A350.
At the 'T' junction traffic lights turn left signposted Wareham.

If you get a road atlas and follow the route as above, it will illustrate where all the services are usually by the letter 'S' (services).

Be mindful that where the M27 turns into the A31 the congestion can and will be horrendous. And the A31 is hell at the moment as one of the main routes into Poole is closed.
Traffic around Poole is hell and has been for months. It took us over an hour on Sunday last week to travel 11 miles to a campsite near Wareham with our folding camper. Would normally be less than half an hour

Oh dear. Do you have any idea how long the road closure will go on for? We're going from Sussex to Cornwall in 3 weeks and usually go A27/M27/A31 etc, but we have alternatives if we know in advance that there are likely to be problems.

If you want to cut out all the hassles on the M3/M27/A31 you could come off the A34 at Sutton Scotney and take the A30 to Stockbridge and Salisbury and the A354 to Blandford Forum then the Bere Road to Bere Regis and on down to Wareham.

It's a more rural route but apart from the busy Salisbury bypass there are few holdups and it is more relaxing. Google Sutton Scotney to Wareham via Stockbridge, Salisbury and Blandford Forum.

Hi guys

It's time for that annual trip to Wareham. Last time I took the stockbridge suggestion and all good. Anybody have any updates or other routes?

Cheers

david
