Hi im new to caravaning and just about to buy our first van we have looked at a coachman amara 580 , and seeing this is our first time was wondering if a mazda 6 2008 2litre diesal would be ok to tow it with .

Any adise much appreciated .

If you are new to caravanning then the advice is to aim for an 85% match so based on this the answer would be that the caravan is too heavy for the Mazda 6.
To find out the exact match you need to know the max weight of the caravan (MTPLM) and what the kerbweight is of the Mazda. Once you have these two figures you can calculate the percentage.
