We have had a set of those slip on rubber strap type mirrors for years, the type with rubber straps and plastic lugs that slot into the mirror edge. but just wondering if they would fit the Yeti, cannot find out until we pick the van up at the weekend as they are in it, if they don't what type would you all suggest

They sound similar to the ones I use on my 2011 Yeti that are towsure own brand. Although they fit ok they do shake a bit when moving.

The alternative type with the arm and brackets that you tighten to the mirror didn't fit as well because the lip on the mirror wasn't deep enough. I only tried towsure's own brand. Other brands may be different and provide a better fit.

The gaps round the edge of Yeti mirrors are a bit tight. I found the rubber strap type were very shaky. (The Maypole brand)

I got Suck it and see convex in the end, which you can adjust using the internal control. There's just enough room to see round the sucker if you want the conventional view, if you stick towards the bottom of the existing mirror. They have fallen off when I got the suction wrong, but very rarely; and were held by the breakaway strap thingy.

I did read, I think on here, that Milenco Aeros fit on the Yeti, and other VAG cars with the same/similar design, if you fit them upside down, that is, to the bottom of the housing. They seem popular with folk who have them.

We had problems with the mirrors on our Seat Alhambra (VW Sharran). Again the gap was too tight for the Millenco, and the strap variety were not stable. We bought some EMUK mirrors from Frankana which were designed specifically for the VW. I know they are not the cheapest(!) but they are the best mirrors we have had. As they are designed to fit they are completely stable. As the Skoda is VW based they might have one to fit. personally, I would not trust the suck it and see type to stay on, and you lose the view from your existing mirror.

I used Milenco Aero mirrors on my much missed Yeti.

From memory the clamps had to be quite close together to take into account the shape of the mirror.

I have heard several times that strap-on mirrors are not stable, but I think that must depend on the car rather than the mirrors. I have a set of Maypole ones that I use on my Volvo and they are just fine. No vibration or instability at all.

I've used Milenco Aeros on both of my Yeti's with no problems mounting them. Mine are the later type with the arm on the jointed clamps and are about 2" apart on the top of the mirror.
A couple of other Yeti owners have found you can also fit the same mirrors along the bottom of the mirror as well.
Previously I used the "suck-it" ones with no problems,

The emuk ones are available for a yeti and are a proper fit not exactly cheap but a good design ,they are available from the website Alan mentions , I got the Alhambra ones and they are an excellent fit . A bit of web browsing might find them cheaper .
