Hi all.
Looking for a new tow car to pull our Bailey Verona (MTPLM 1448kg).
I currently tow with a RAV4 but no longer have the need for the hatchback or 4wd so am possibly looking at normal car to replace it .
Like the look of the new A6 and the towcar info site give its a 77% ratio ( Car 1875 van 1448 ).
Does any one out there tow with one , and if so what are your thoughts.
any advice or recommendations would be much appreciated .
Been towing with an A6 Avant for quite a while now. No complains whatsoever. Comfortable car with plenty power and very stable. I prefer autos.
My current car is Euro 6 and has done 37k miles in 20 months. Towing it gets 28-34mpg depending on load and conditions solo it does 44 knocking around and motorway trips minimum 50 and up to 62 again dependent on conditions.
I have a new one on order (- cue comments as to why change it with only 37k). I considered the new A4 but the A6 wins that comparison hands down for my needs.
As an aside, have a look at prices on Coast to Coast cars, get a proper quote ( it will be from an Audi dealership, then take it to your local preferred dealer and see if they will match it.... mine did.
