I have just bought a Nissan Navara D40 2010 on a 59 plate. Should I look to put a swan neck type towbar on this?

If you are considering having a Swan Neck towbar fitted you need to think where about you are going to attach the breakaway cable. You can wrap it around the towball but there has been issues recently regarding where the breakaway cable should actually be attached.

Some fixed height towbars on the Navara have a very high towball which creates a nose up attitude with a caravan. Assuming that reversing sensors have not been fitted, you may be better with a flange towbar as most makes have two heights for the towball, approximately 45mm apart.
